If the winner does not contact Camelot, the operators of the National Lotto; by 5:30PM on the 22nd then they will no longer be eligible to claim the prize money and the whole of the £3.6 million will go to the Good Causes fund.

A National Lottery spokesperson said of the win "We are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the last minute to claim the money. "We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding".

It is believed that the unclaimed winning lotto ticket was purchased in Scotland, possibly in the Inverness area. So come on! Have a dig around under the sofa, empty those wallets and purses and find that unclaimed winning lotto ticket – It could be you!

It still seems incredible to me that people don’t claim these prizes, in fact it is quiet common! Thankfully not a problem I have being a member of an e-lottery syndicate, it’s all done electronically so no chance of losing a ticket or forgetting to claim the prize money!

The winning ticket was bought in the constituency of Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey area of Scotland in September playing the main Lotto draw on Wednesday, September 23.

The National Lottery has confirmed a single winning Lotto ticket for a jackpot prize of £3,681,197 remains unclaimed.

The winning numbers for that Lotto draw were 23, 25, 28, 41, 46 and 47.

The lucky mystery winner only has until 5.30pm on March 22, 2010, to claim their prize.
