One lucky winner will be entitled to pick up more than €29m from the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin tomorrow after winning a half share of Friday’s Euromillions jackpot.
The winner has 90 days from Monday to claim the €29,430,608.
Two tickets shared the top prize of more than €58m. One was sold in Ireland and the other in the UK. A National Lottery spokeswoman in Dublin said she could not reveal where the winning ticket was sold.
It is the third time the Euromillions jackpot has been won in Ireland. The last Irish win was in July 2008 when a family claimed €15 million. Their ticket was purchased in Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary. However, Limerick woman Dolores McNamara remains the country’s biggest lottery winner, after scooping €115m in the Euromillions draw in 2005.
