I cannot stress enough the importance of business cards, drop cards or whatever you want to call them. Cheap and effective. Below you will find designs, info on how to get them printed and what to do with them! However you choose to get yours, or whatever you decide to have printed on them, there are 2 important things to remember.

1. Keep prospects guessing, make it intriguing, don't give too much away, if your prospect is a lottery player, they will be interested (nosey enough to take a look)

2. Your Invite code - You must remember to put YOUR ID and initials on the card (not mine) as this is the key to the whole of the automated system.

This is the front of the card I use. It gives nothing away just tells the prospect that lottery players 'Love it' What? - They have to find out!

It's viral as well - It uses the magic word 'because' No please, just do something - Pass it on.

It's a well known psychological fact that people will do something if you quantify it with 'because' and people like to be thanked!

This is the rear of the card I use. It just re-enforces what I want them to do. Next time you hand a card to someone, watch what they do, they always turn it over to see what's on the back!

So when they turn it over, they have again been told what to do.

Now we know what to put on it - Where do we get them from?

Allow me to introduce you to VistaPrint. VistaPrint supply free business cards (you only pay for the postage) Be careful though, they work by offering you  free basic business cards (which are fine) and then offering you extras such as glossy finish, text or calendars or appointments printed on the back of the card etc etc all of which are chargeable extras. If you are not careful, your free business card can end up being not free at all!

Their free service is fine for basic cards and there are plenty of design options but I would recommend you go for their 'Premium Business Cards'

The cards above where designed by me then uploaded to VistaPrint's website, they then printed them and delivered them to my door - 500 for around £18.00 which I think was a very reasonable price.

These cards were designed using MS Publisher, I had a little trouble getting the sizes right to upload them and found that saving the file as a PNG file produced the best result for me. Don't worry if you don't understand that!

Below are 2 files, 1 is the Publisher file which you can open up in publisher and then add you ID number or 2 is the finished PNG file which you can upload to VistaPrint (the Invite box is blank) so if you went via this route, you would have to write in your ID after having them printed - or maybe use a rubber stamp)

File 1 - Business card in Publisher form (right click and select 'save target as' to save to your computer)

File 2 - Finished PNG business card file (right click and select 'save target as' to save to your computer)

Download the files, add your ID number and initials then upload to VistaPrint

You may not like those designs and think you can do better! It doesn't really matter at the end of the day just as long as you have www.5-balls.com and your ID number on them but don't forget Keep prospects guessing, make it intriguing, don't give too much away, if your prospect is a lottery player, they will be interested (nosey enough to take a look)

Other 'Slogan' ideas

'Smarter Lottery Players do it with 5 Balls!'

'Still losing on the Lottery?'

'Think the distribution of Lotto winnings is unfair?

So you've got your new business cards, what to do with them?

Your new business cards have arrived - WOW! Let's get them out of the box and have a look. Pile them up on your desk and every day have a look, they are nice aren't they? looking at them, stroking them ain't gonna work!

We have to get them out there! Which is the hardest part - You actually have to do something, you have to do some work! This business is 90% mental and 10% execution. You will have to work harder on yourself than any other aspect of this business.

Here's some ideas to show you what to do with them...

1. By far the best way is to give them to people personally. Everyone you meet during your day, Ask "Do you play the Lottery?" if they say "Yes" ask them if they know about the 5 ball concept. 100% will say No. Give them a card and say "I think this will interest you"

Now it's at this stage that almost all of them will ask "What is it" DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TELL THEM ANYMORE Just say "I can't go into now, just visit the website" and bid them good day. Do not even attempt to explain where all this leads. If you do, certainly in the early days you might blow your chances. All that matters is you get as many prospects as you possibly can to visit the 5-balls website.

How many people do you meet in a day? Every shop you go into, every person at work, every person that knocks on your door, every person in the pub/club, anyone over the age of 16. Remember, don't make this hard, just go where you go and do what you do but always have your business cards with you.

2. Go where you go, but if you go in the car, when you stop just pop a few cards into the gap between the glass and the rubber of the drivers window on a few cars around you. Or you could dedicate an hour and go to a large car park and do all the cars there!

3. Every time you pay a bill or send anything in the post - pop a card in with it.

4. Bingo halls at closing time, simply stand outside and hand out cards - 90% of people who play bingo also play the lottery!

5. Notice boards - just pin one up at  every one you see!

6. Make a larger version of the card and put it inside your car window. Try to park in large car parks near the exit!

These are just some ideas, given time, I'm sure you can come up with loads more ideas but remember this isn't about thinking up ways to promote 5-balls, it's about getting out there and doing it!

Even if you only intend to promote this online, I strongly urge you to get some cards as well. Think of all the major brands, Tesco etc - They all promote their websites offline! Business cards are just one way of promoting your online business - offline!

It's a numbers game, the more people you get to visit www.5-balls.com the more prospects you will have in the automated system and the more you will have sign up as new members and of course the bigger your cheque will be.

Don't measure results - It's not about results, it's about activity - Enough activity will produce results!
