This week I was asked a couple of what I had at first thought were rather obvious questions. Then when I thought about these some more, it occurred to me that unless you actually knew why these things could happen it might appear as if something underhand was occurring. So although we do already answer these questions on Ei42 I feel it's worthwhile to give you the answer to these 2 questions in this newsletter.
Q1. When I checked the number of friends in my team today there was one less member than when I checked last night. How can that happen?
A1. The answer is that someone in your team cancelled their account. If the person who cancelled was referred to Ei42 by you personally then you will receive an email from us informing you of their decision to close their account. If the person was not referred by you personally but is part of your team then your team membership will reduce by one and you will not be informed.
Q2. I noticed that the number of retailers on my Ei42 shop goes up and down. Why is this?
A2. There are a number of reasons why this might happen. For example a retailer may have spent their monthly budget, they could be changing agencies or simply have paused their internet promotional activity. These are changes that affect all websites and not just Ei42 so it is a fact that occasionally you might find a retailer on Ei42 one day and not the next. Equally that same retailer can reappear a few days or weeks later. Sometimes a retailer will inform us that they are experiencing problems with their systems and ask us to pause promotional activity while they get those problems sorted out. This is the beauty of the internet to retailers, they are able to pause promotional activity instantly. Having said all of that over 99% of the retailers that you find on Ei42 are consistent and reliable so you will always find them on your Ei42 shop.
New Features

View Your Friends
This week we have added another new features into your admin area. Now when you click “View Friends” you have the ability to see a summary of the friends that you personally introduced to Ei42 along with a quick copy and paste function for your friends email addresses. In addition for those of you that have already built a large team of friends and were experiencing problems with viewing them you should notice a considerable improvement in the loading speed of your friends screen as we have completely recoded that area of our systems.
Privacy
It recently occurred to us that if you had only personally referred one friend to Ei42, it was easy for you to see who your friend was buying from because we displayed the name of the retailer in your Profit Share area. In over 99% of cases this is unlikely to cause a problem but clearly there are examples where purchasing from a particular retailer may cause embarrassment. As a result you will no longer see the name of the retailer on any power one sales. Instead you will see the note “Retailer name hidden for privacy reasons”
Testimonials
We have started to add some testimonials on to Ei42.com. You will now find a new link called rather unsurprisingly “Testimonials” which as I type this currently contains just 2 people but will grow and grow. If you would like to send your own testimonial along with a photo of yourself (if you wish) to testimonials@ei42.com we will be delighted to add you to this new section.
Frequently Asked Questions
We have also improved the FAQ section that you will find on Ei42. You now have the ability to search through our knowledgebase or simply browse the questions at your leisure as well as being able to vote on if the answer given is helpful or not. Naturally if you cannot find an answer to your question you can easily submit a ticket to the helpdesk which is also now directly accessible from the FAQ for your convenience.
